18th century inspired stays

In between supervising the costume shops and our build schedule I fully constructed 6 pairs of 18th Century “inspired” stays. These stays were constructed using an altered stays pattern that I altered for each performer. The stays were constructed using various fabric types according to the designers wishes, which included stretch and non stretch fabrics, and lined with 2 layers of heavy weight twill for structure. The stays were fully boned with flat steel boning and spiral steel boning, and they were finished off with hand made bias taped edges.
